HostClear / Just Host -- Sucks
July 8, 2009 -- confirming the reviews here. Wish I had found this website before signing up with HostClear.
The sign-up is convoluted, different and odd based on my prior experiences. 36 hours after acknowledgement, still can't logon to the temporary nor the permanent cPanel. Live-Online-Help is prompt, but ineffective. And yes, the Phone-help communication is very difficult due to the non-English helpers. Fortunately, I found my credit card hasn't been charged and I will tell the bank to decline all charges if unsolved soon. Several emails to "support" have not been answered so finally wrote an email to firstname.lastname@example.org as instructed by the "Terms and Conditions"
My information appears on HostClear's https://billing.hostclear.com , and it is correct, but what comfort is that ?
I don't need support, only uptime. Thus the choice of a cheep service. But, a friend's site was completely down for several hours yesterday July 7. Not a good sign of success even if I get my subscription solved.
Readers --HEED-- the warnings in these reviews. They are correct in my experience.
